I just wanted to put up a quick post on that our newest product, Willow for Wowza Media Server, has been updated to version 1.1. Willow now not only allows you to check out live analytics of Wowza Media Server but more control over the management of the server and applications that live on it.
In this release we have fixed a few bugs like Willow working incorrectly under a vhost that wasn’t the default one, a rollover state for one of the buttons and the apps lists not updating during very specific sequences of events. With that, there are a pile of new features and user interface enhancements. Here is the list of those:
Added instance details and refresh options to performance view of an application’s instance area
Changed buttons in the application’s instance area (UI improvement)
Added ability to add class definitions to application.xml file in Server Management
Added ability to test connectivity to an application on the server and test play a stream in Server Management
Added ability to change Willow’s admin username and password in Server Management
Changed layout of Server Management (UI improvement)
This is the start of many improvements to Willow and I will keep this blog updated as we go of course. We’ve got some great reviews of Willow so far and we know we’re definitely not alone in being excited for the next round and the round after that of what’s coming. Thanks to everybody that has let us know what they think, we’re always happy to get both good and bad feedback on Willow as it helps drive good innovation and features.
