We’ve been very busy here with releasing a brand new site (sti-media.com), working on projects and finally getting back to updating Willow. At version 2.2, this update has made a few cosmetic changes to accommodate the new naming of Wowza Streaming Engine, but more importantly has a new section called Developer Tools.
At this time only the live log has been moved over to it and taken out of the server management area, but we have big plans to have Willow be much more convenient for developers to develop for Wowza. This slight change in direction is due to the fact that Wowza finally came out with their own server management console for Wowza Streaming Engine. It’s great and I recommend that anybody getting into WSE check it out and use it. There has been a lot of great thought gone into it and the analytics/stats and management functionality is very good. In my opinion it doesn’t quite address the challenge that comes with debugging and working on Wowza remotely or even locally and we’re going to continue to work at making it easier and faster through Willow.
