We’ll be sending out a notice to all of our clients for Todja update too but I definitely wanted to blog that our first Flash application that actually streams from Flash Media Server has been approved for the app store. Took about a week and probably would have been faster if I had been smart and uploaded a screenshot for the iPad instead of assuming they would just use the iPhone one and enlarge it.. Live and learn. Here’s the link to the app in the app store.
Anyways, the coolest thing about this is that it is a Flash based app that has a browser based admin module, along with a Flash/browser based listener side and now we have got it on the iPhone. It runs quite nicely and is a welcome addition to the product. Next up is definitely getting it on the Android system but before that I need a test device.. It’s nice to be able to code in one environment with one language and export to many devices. Very impressive Adobe.
Good news all around.
We will be offering a service to port over custom versions of Todja (as we have actually already done and that will be sent to the app store approval process soon too) to the Apple app store so that others can stream out there honest to goodness radio station to the masses. I can’t think of any reason why you wouldn’t want to do this and reach more of an audience. Think of it, a radio station all yours that you can setup and stream your own music out and use your microphone to DJ/narrate it all.
